Service Pack 2, memory problems

For some reason, my hard drive memory is almost empty
despite continuous deletion of programs. I think it might
be due to the new Service Pack 2 updates that keep coming.

Is this the case?
 
There is no such thing as hard drive memory - only hard drive space. You do
have RAM (Random Access Memory) though. They are both measured using the
same numbers so that's why you're confused.

Second, there is only one SP2 update - not updates.

Deleting programs doesn't get the space back until you empty the recycle
bin.
