Service Pack 2 install problems

I used the CD that was sent to me to install SP2 because I'm on dial-up (too
slow). The installation seems to be successful but it does not appear in the
system properties or in Add/Remove that it has installed. I've retried many
times with same result. Any ideas would be appreciated.

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Run dialog box, type winver
3. Click OK.

A dialog box displays the version that you are running
