Service Pack 2 downloaded automatically

Windows Service Pack 2 just downloaded automatically. I chose not to
install it, at least not yet because I am not prepared to back up my
entire system, and I am even less prepared to lose any of my important
files (research for two different books). I think for now I just want
to get rid of the downloaded file. If, after doing more looking into
the ins and outs of WSP2, I decide to install it I will download it
again.

So where do I find the downloaded file to delete it?

Thanks

Backups should be done no matter what. It's not a matter of _if_ but
_when_ data loss occurs.

Delete the contents of C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download.

There is a toolkit to disable the installation of SP2 until April, 2005.

Hey, Guys,

Thanks a million for the information. By the way, I installed a CD
burner this morning and have already begun backing up critical files.
