I am getting these errors constantly (see below). I do not know when it
started, I had been running farely error free and had not check the Event
Viewer in a while, I noticed things actting funny 2 days ago. Restored to
previous day and it was fine until I rebooted then the problem immediately
returned and does each time machine is rebooted.

wuaueng.dll (3060) SUS20ClientDataStore: The database engine has begun
replaying logfile C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\Logs\edb.log.

wuauclt (3060) Database recovery failed with error -1216 because it
encountered references to a database,
'C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\DataStore.edb', which is no longer
present. The database was not brought to a consistent state before it was
removed (or possibly moved or renamed). The database engine will not permit
recovery to complete for this instance until the missing database is
re-instated. If the database is truly no longer available and no longer
required, please contact PSS for further instructions regarding the steps
required in order to allow recovery to proceed without this database.

However the file does exist.

and the log directory has these files.

Is this another of those problems where the file has been pushed out passed
some address pointer limit (i.e. past the 8 gig boundry)?

This would have happened just recently when I installed the new software I
received for Christmas. I just barely went over the 50% mark for the first
time allowing files to beyond the 8 Gig boundry mark.)

Drive is a 16 Gig primary partition on a 60 Gig Drive, rest is extended
partition - Drive D:. I used to just make 7.8 Gig partitions for the OS's and
the rest for "Data" so the 8 Gig boundry was never breached, however with all
the software I now have it won't fit and most software will not run right if
installed on any other than the boot drive.
