Server Unexpectedly Closed Connection

W

Ward Cameron

My website is hosted on Interland. I use databases created
in MS Access and use MS FrontPage 2002 to design my site.
I have had regular challenges with saving pages that
contain Database Results Regions. When I try to save, I
get the message "Server Unexpectedly Closed the
Connection". I am then taken to the Save As dialog, but no
matter what name I enter (with the correct asp extension),
I get the same server error.

I have searched the knowledge base but it does not list
any relevent articles. I did find one knowledge base
article at:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;265044

but it is for FP2000 and it does not reflect my challenges
as I am not using IE5.0, but the most current version.

Please Help

I am not familiar with this specific problem or error, but found these MSKB
articles - hopefully these will help:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;304132 (except that
you said you already have the latest version of MSIE)
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;289698 - not exactly
the correct error message.
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;281927 - "

Unfortunatly, I have never heard any really good reviews about Interland
tech support, but I would suggest that you contact them about this. Assuming
you get this error working on the live site. What happens if you work on
these pages locally and then publish the edited pages to the server.
Perhaps you won't get errors if you work locally and publish changes to the
remote host.
