I recently had to reload my system. I installed Windows ME first, which came with my computer. Then I loaded the Windows XP Professional Upgrade I purchased. I'm logged in on the administrator's account, and I'm trying to adjust the properties of the different user accounts, specifically what groups they belong to. But everytime I click the "Member of" tab. I get the error message "The following error occurred while attempting to read the properties for the user Administrator:" then on a second line it says "The Server service is not started.

I never had this message occur the first time I had installed Windows XP Pro Upgrade and I was able to adjust the "Member of" tab properties before. And I can't seem to locate what is causing this or what I need to disable or change to resolve the issue.

G'Day Rrok007,

Right-Click "My Computer", select "Manage"
Double-Click "Services and Applications" bottom left
Click "Services"
On the Right: Scroll down to "Server" (read its

description)
Double-Click it
Change "Startup type:" to "Automatic"
Click "OK"
Close the "Computer Management" Window
Reboot!
