I have added a machine running XP Professional to Domain
successfully but am unable to log on as I get the
following error message:

"Windows cannot connect to the domain, either because the
domain controller is down or otherwise unavailable, or
because your computer account was not found. If this
message continues to appear contact your system
administrator"

The computer was added with a Domain Admin account which
was successful as I got message once done.

I have removed the machine from the domain and added to
workgroup then readded to domain, still getting the same
message when trying to log on to domain.

I have even tried adding the machine directly onto the
Server within Active Directory still not recognised.

The machine is definately on the network as I am able to
join a domain, surf the net and access my users network
folders etc.

Anyone got any ideas? It would be really appreciated.

Cheers

Paul

Is the problem PC set to look only at the AD DNS server for name resolution?
