server is working slow

Dear All,
I have win 2000 server installed this is responding slow what may the
reasion behind this if any one know please help me.

What do you mean by "responding slow"?

Are you accessing it over the network or locally?

Is the server in a domain? Is it a DC?

See the processes that are running, and you may find someone that is taking
a lot of CPU. It may be a bad process.

Or you may need more memory.

The task manager may help you.

If the server is fast when you log in locally, then it should be the network
connection, a bad network adapter, network wire,...
