I had posted earlier about problems after reloading the fp extensions. That
seems to have been resolved. I still have a problem with the server being
grayed out so that i cannot admin passwords. I can use frontpage to post
websites in both directions just fine. As i said i had this problem before
and the isp i am with reset the fp server extensions thinking that would take
care of the problem which it did not. So any thoughts on resolving. Someone
had suggested re-installing FP over itself or a complete re-install.

If you are referring to setting permissions/passwords on your *remote* web,
you can't do it locally. You must open your remote web via FrontPage to do
so. And, it will only be available if the remote host allows it. Many
don't.

.
Don't reinstall. Choose Detect and Repair from the Help
drop down menu.

I am connected to the remote host and am able to publish to the remote
fine in both directions. I had been able to admin users on the server but for
some reason could not after a few months of doing so. I have tried my id and
pw on another users pc to that host and it worked ok. Also we have two other
people with admin
that are working fine just my version(2003) on my pc that stopped working.
Otherwise the server, web site and other pcs are fine.

I am a little gunshy of changes after my isp reset the extensions on me
creating a bit of chaos for the other users of the web site. There are two
other users with admin authority that are working fine a couple others with
author that work fine also. My id works fine on there pcs just not on my pc
and copy of fp. Otherwise the
server, websites and other pcs are ok.

So that said if i detect and repair whats the damage to the server, web site
and
other users accounts. According to the help on detect and repair it resets
back to the state where you first installed office including the " SECURITY
LEVEL FOR EACH APPLICATION". Is that just my PC's securit level or the
servers and all users of it?
