Hi

Whenever I try to save any of my pages this error comes up.

Server error: write error on file ".filename.html.tmp" Any tips or suggestions? I have tried to use detect and repair feature on my frontpage 2002 but no help. Any suggestions? Thanks

in FrontPage, with the offending web open try this:
tools/ web settings/ advanced tab/ delete temp files.
other possible fixes:
help/ detect and repair
tools/ recalculate hyperlinks (does a lot more than just recalculating the
links)
restart your system.
if none of this works come back.
HTH

I deleted the tmp files and could not check the tools/ recalculate hyperlinks (does a lot more than just recalculating the
links)
I also did the Help, detect & repair. but no go.

I am checking with my hosting service to make sure my Frontpage extensions are working correctly. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks for the help

if the host says it's ok come back. there IS a reason for this. you might
want to enter the error message you got into a google search or search the
MS site with it.

Sorry my tricks didn't work. Don't let it get to you. it'll get worked out
one way or the other. I've been in some ugly spots here and there too, it's
worse when it's a client's web!

In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
Usually in %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache
Then open your site and run a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks to get your FP META data updated
