server connection failiure

error message continues ........error:10060, error number: 0x800 CC0E.
The problem started after I downloaded the Windows Live softwear. Part of
the signing in process involved giving details of my main Windows Mail
account and this is the only account unable to connect to the server, the
other accounts are fine.

What Windows Live software? That's the name of a whole family of
programs, such as Windows Live Mail, Windows Live Messenger, and
Windows Live Hotmail.

If it's Windows Live Mail, you'll get a faster answer in newsgroup:

microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop

They'll probably want a more complete error message before they
offer much help, so click on the error message and see if you can
copy it.
