I need a serial number for Windows Vista RC1.

Ummmm do you think anyone will give you one?
Did you get RC1 from Microsoft?

It doesn't come with a serial number. It does come with a Product Key,
which was available at the time you downloaded Vista from the Microsoft or
MSDN web sites.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/preview/register.mspx
to get a key.

Microsoft says "You must register by November 30 to receive
a Product Key."
