Sequence of start up

I have a Server 2000 which is crashing with the message:
***Hardware Malfunction
CAll your hardware vendor
NMI: parity check / memory priority error
***System is halted

after it has booted up and loaded the task tray.

What I have done:
I disabled the items in the task tray - still the same
