SEO: How to get ALL Pages Ranked?

I've developed a website for a couple of friends of mine who run a business
selling Bulgarian Property. (www.buying-bulgaria.co.uk). I'm certainly no
expert, yet I've managed to get reasonable rankings on non-Google websites
for specific searches. (Heaven knows why I'm getting nowhere with Google as
it’s an old URL predating the 'Google sandbox').

However, these specific searches e.g. "Property in <placename>" always take
you to the index page of the site, and never to the relevant <Property in
placename> page. Each of the placename pages within the site, generally have
plenty of content and are appropriately tagged.

Entering the "site:www.buying-bulgaria.co.uk" in the search field of search
engines, confirms that the only pages that search engines are seeing are the
Index Page and a list of obsolete pages.

Is there anything I can do to get the search engines to see other pages in
the site and, perhaps not see those that are obsolete?

Any help would be appreciated.

It would also help to get some links to your internatl pages if possible

Thanks for your response.

I think (?) I've already done what you have suggested. (Bear in mind I'm a
bit of a novice!)....

- There is a sitemap that is accessed by a link at the bottom-left of each
page).
- The bulk of the internal pages of the site are listed per page in the left
column (i.e. Search property for sale in: Ahtopol, Albena, Balchik......
Varna)

Could it be that for some reason the crawlers cannot see these links?

Hi,
If you follow the link to the Google page it will tell you how to build and
upload an xml sitemap. All being well G should visit the links and report
back on any errors it finds. A google sitemap is not the same as the sitemap
you have on your site, which is a good thing of course. If you haven't
already you might want to submit your site to www.dmoz.org - no guarantees
but it might help and can't hurt.

Hi Jon,

I've now downloaded the Google Sitemap creator. Unzipped the app but can't
get the thing to work nor make sense of the instructions! Anyway - I'll keep
trying.

Thanks for your lead to the dmoz website. At least this site is simple
enough for low-tech people like me to follow. Maybe this route may be prove
succesful?

Just one final thing - have you any idea if I'm either doing anything wrong
in the way I've developed the site or whether using the xml google sitemap
will resolve the SE issue with regard to Non-Google SEs. i.e. start listing
the current internal pages (not just the index).
E.g. Yahoo ranks site as 8th under term "property in Albena" - yet only
links to the Index Page and not the "property in Albena" page. A page with
much more relevant content, keywords and tags. Same applies to the other 30
property pages.
