Sent Messages Synchronization

I have a user on Outlook 2003 on an exchange server through a VPN and they're
having synchronization issues.

The user has a Blackberry device and has used OWA as well to send messages.
When the individual logs in through the VPN and checks the mail, only the
mail sent directly through the laptop(not through the Blackberry nor OWA)
will synchronize. So they are missing hundreds of sent messages. Is there a
solution?

Also, on a recent synchronization, ALL of the messages were removed from the
server onto the laptop through exchange. No, it is not on POP mail retrieval.
I thought it sounded at first like a POP mail retrieval issue.

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like they've created a PST and have designated it as the delivery
location. That will suck all the items from the Exchange mailbox to the
laptop. It could also explain the sync problems.

Is there a way to correct it? I know they're set up under an exchange
account. I need to get the sent messages to synchronize.

Get their mail profile configured properly so there is no PST file.
