Sent messages marked as "Follow-Up" are not answered when complete

I sent a message marked as "Follow-Up" with a due date, but nothing was
happened when the partner clicked "Completed". The red flag remained. The
same situation was when I tried it inside our mailing system, too.
I think, this is not correct. Any experience about it ?

line of the message in my Outbox. The same situation was when I sent another
message inside our mailing system.
I think, this is not correct. Any experience about it ?
