Sent items suddenly stopped being saved in Outlook 2000

Hello everyone and thanks for taking the time to read this post.

I have a user whose sent email suddenly stopped being saved to the
sent folder. This is the same for all messages; new, replied and
forwarded. I have checked all of the settings (several times). The
email options and advanced email options are as they should be. All
of the messages appear to have been received. However since many of
our clients tend to lose things, having these messages saved is
imperative.

I even saw mention that the sent items folder might have a size
limit. I tried clearing some stuff out. That didn't work either.
Someone please help.

Thanks
Jeremy

Here's a solution that I hadn't considered and had not seen anyone
suggest in the 30 or 40 posts I read before posting the above message.

The messages WERE being saved, but in the wrong place. They weren't
seen because the user had accidentally changed the date on his
calender/clock from May to April. So turns out they were there along,
just in the wrong order. Thinking back, I probably would have caught
this earlier had I used the advanced find tool. Hope this helps
anyone else that runs across this problem.
