sent items folder in multiple accounts

I have created 2 pop3 accounts in outlook 2003 and set rules for inbox and
sent items folder. incoming emails are sent in the correct folders but if I
send mails from the second account (not the default) the mail ends up in the
first account's "sent items" folder ald also it shows my default account's
name in "from". If I reply or forward from my second account, the mail has
the right name and also ends up in the second account's "sent items" folder.
What am I doing wrong?

Check your account setting for the Second Account to make sure that
everything is entered correctly.

You may also want to have a look at SendAccount 4Outlook.

A common problem with using multiple accounts is accidentally sending out an
e-mail using the wrong account e.g. sending a business-mail using your
personal e-mail account.

Send Account lets you set a preferred account for each person you write to.

It warns if you if you try and send an e-mail to someone using the wrong
account.

Thank you Sanjay. I have installed trial version of SendAccount and it has
half solved my problem. I can now choose which account to send emails from.
The problem I still have is that - despite setting up a rule correctly - the
sent emails from my second account are stored in the "Sent Items" folder on
my default account. Is there a way to fix that?
Thank you for your help.
Kind regards,

Rules only seem to work for Inbox items.

We have another product called QuickFile 4Outlook that lets you Send&File
all in one step. This lets you choose the destination folder when sending
and is useful for people who organize their e-mails into different folders.

It may be overkill for what you are after but you may want to check it out.

Thank you,

I have installed trial of sendaccount and it is working ok. Only when I want
to send an attachment I get an error message "action denied" and my system
locks up and I have to re-boot. Please help.

We have not had other reports of this problem. I would recommend that you
e-mail (e-mail address removed)

The support staff (and if need be the programmers) will work with you to
resolve the problem.
