Sent email is opened in Outbox and never sent

I have Outlook 2003 with several POP profiles. Today they all are
acting the same way. When I reply or create a new message and hit send
Outlook places the message in the outbox as opened mail and of course
never sends it.

Created a new profile - same thing
No problem with my Exchange Server profile - works fine
No problem receiveing email

Looks like this was reported some time ago. Why have I never noticed
it before.....

What addins are installed? Any that "read" content will cause this behavior.
