SendTo = Outlook

I recently brought my Office 2003 up to snuff with the latest Microsoft
Updates (Sp1 primarily if I remember correctly).

Now, even though I don't have Outlook installed on my machine, it has
insinuated itself as the Right Click "SendTo" application.

Although Outlook is not installed (checked that via ControlPanel) it does
bring up an email window. Seems as though it has no Addrtess Book
associated with it, so it's useless.

How can I reset my system SendTo parameters back to OutlookExpress? (XP
Pro)

Why did this problem even occur?

Thanks in advance,
Al Camp

You do have Outlook installed. It's not listed individually in Add/remove
programs. It's part of Office. Look under MS Office in Add/remove, click on
Change, Add/repair office. You can uncheck it to uninstall, but I think
you're missing out on the best part of Office. It's better to open Internet
Options, Programs tab, select Outlook Express for Email, and you'll be set.
That makes OE the default. You can also set up your OE address book in
Outlook, in case you want to use both. Just use import on the file menu in
Outlook. BTW, Sendto is just a folder in Windows. You can add or subtract
anything. Just search for Sendto.

Mary,
Yes... I found the SendTo directory, and changed it to OE... but no joy.
The Internet Options Programs did the trick after a reboot.
Thanks for your help...

No, No! You have to change the default email program first. Open Internet
Explorer, Tools, Internet options, Program tab, select OE for email.
