I use Outlook 2003 and Word 2003. I create a monthly newsletter and have
updated it to include graphics (from Publisher) and pictures (copied from the
web). I need to send this newsletter to a distribution list of several
recipients. I copied and pasted the document from Word into Outlook (in the
body). It appeared to be ok, but the recipients saw only text. How can I
send the newsletter without losing the graphics, pictures and borders?

In Publisher / publication types - select> email, then select a template from
"newsletter' used that as your email for your newsletter.
Graphics/text can be used

compose a simpler format directly in a message - also note that unless
everyone is using the same software you are, they may not see some
features - I know Gmail doesn't display background colors.

I forgot to mention that in using Outlook to send the newsletter, I tried to
cut and paste from the Word document as Plain Text. The results were not
good, so I changed to Rich Text and that is what I transmitted. I have been
told by various Outlook users that I should have transmitted using HTML. Is
this something that might work?

Only other Outlook users can read Rich Text messages. Send it in HTML.

I am not that versed in Publication, so is it possible for me to create the
newsletter in Word and "import" it to Publisher for emailing? My newsletter
is usually 6-7 pages in length and I have a problem in figuring out how to
"wrap" the text in Publisher onto succeeding pages. I'm sure it's not hard,
but have never been trained.

don't do it in publisher. stick with word but don't go overboard with tables
and colors.
