Sending mail in background

When I send a document from Word, via Send to recipient... it opens up an
e-mail window, allows me to enter the message and hit Send, but the message
remains in my Outlook outbox until I open Outlook manually. When I set
Outlook Express as my mail client, the mail gets sent in the background,
without my having to open Outlook Express. What do I have to do to have this
happen with Outlook? I already have send immediately checked.

It doesn't work that way for Outlook. You'll need to have Outlook running
for that.
