EVERY time I send an email it sends it twice--I have exhausted all that I can
think of to only get one sent. ANY suggestions. Please it is very annoying
to get two of the exact same messages all the time. thanks

Check if you have duplicate email accounts entered under Windows Mail.
If so, remove one of them.

Also, if you try to set up more than one email address for the same family,
many email providers will try to give you a main email account and one
or more alias accounts for it. If you have two such accounts, entering
both of them into the accounts under Windows Mail for a single Vista
user will cause similar problems.

Generally speaking, you get those instructions from your email service provider.

Is Hotmail your only email service? If so, free Hotmail accounts don't work
with Windows Mail. You can upgrade to Windows Live Mail, which does
work with Hotmail accounts:

we are receiving an "Unable to deliver" notification to the effect that mail
sent to (e-mail address removed) is not a known mailbox. Trouble is, we don't know who
this person is (it's a rearrangement on our monogram) and we have no mail
address for such a person. What's causing this? Stevie
The original e-mail is going out to the correct person. It seems this is
just appended to it somehow. --

Not sure what you expect us to do.
There is no way we can find the correct email address for someone
whose name you don't even know.

The issue is:

I send an e-mail to [email protected]. No other. No other of that name in the
contact list. [email protected] receives his mail. I receive notification that
my e-mail to (e-mail address removed) has no mailbox and is unknown. What I want you
to do? Why is Vista sending e-mail to someone totally unknown. There is NO
(e-mail address removed) in my contacts list. OR in the address book which I
imported.

It sounds like [email protected] may have his email mailbox on
the server configured to auto-forward to (e-mail address removed).

If that's not the case, does the notification you receive include
a copy of your original email? If not, how do you connect the two
events?
