Sending email through from Front Page

When I click send from FrontPage 2000, the web page shows
as an attachment to my Outlook email. How can I "send"
the web page as the BODY of the email, not as an
attachment?

It's easier to do it from online with your browser...Mail/Send Page. Otherwise you have to send all the associated files/images...I believe.

I saved the file as HTM from Front Page 2000. I then
retrieved it in Explorer. Then I chose File, send, page
by email. It opens an outlook email page and it adds the
web page in as an attachment, not in the body of the email.

This is actually difficult to do, because mail programs
don't provide the same environment and capabilities that
browsers do. For example:
o Relative hyperlinks take on a different meaning
when displayed with in the recipient's mail
program.
o Neither picture files nor an Internet connection may
be available when the mail recipient views the
message.
o Mail programs typically don't provide full
support for HTML forms.

The following procedure *sometimes* works, depending on
what you put in the Web page:

1. Create the page in FrontPage.
2. Save and/or publish it to an http:// location all
your mail recipients can access.
3. Display the page in Internet Explorer.
4. In IE, choose Send from the File menu, and then choose
Page By E-Mail

If that doesn't do the trick, you may need to have an ASP
page send your mail. For instructions on that, browse:

Oh, I'm quite sure he's trying to create an HTML-formatted e-mail.

But quite often, designers find that the Outlook editor lacks the
features to create the kind of message body (i.e. Web page) they want.
