Sending email links from Explorer using Outlook

S

Suzanne

Outlook blocks hyperlinks that I'm creating as mail in
Explorer from being sent. I get an error message that
it's blocked because it's potentially unsafe. I can't
figure out how to turn that feature off.

I email a lot of links while I'm in Explorer. I miss the
ability to do that. It creates a lot more work.

Thanks for your help

Because secure versions of Outlook block shortcut files, I recommend that you use a little free add-in for Internet Explorer when you want to send someone a link to a page. You can get MailTo_URL from http://www.slipstick.com/addins/gallery/index.htm#mailto. It adds an "Email Page" command to the right-click menu in IE and uses the title of the page for the subject of the mail message.

Make sure that the registry entry you create to tell IE where to find the application matches the location where you save the program.
