Sending Email in Windows Mail

I am new this group as of today. Hello all. I have had this laptop two
years and have never been able to send email. I have read all instructions
and can't get it to work. I have read some of the answers from the group but
it did not help. I am pretty good with the computer but this has got my
goat. Anyone with simple step by step directions?

Please post your error messages (in detail) and you should be able to get some help.
