sending e-mails

Jean Somers

I am running Vista Home Premium 64 and I am trying to send pictures from the
Windows Photo Gallery to myself to down load on my pictures on the hard
drive. The windows e-mail works to recive messages but will not send them.
My internet provider is Comcast. I too am hating vista more every day. Can
someone help me. I have done everything I was told to do about setting up
the mail and I am extremely frustrated.

What error message are you getting? Right-click on it, select Copy, then
Paste in into a reply here.

It may be because you're not connected to Comcast's network, and they're
blocking port 25. They do have an alternative port to use, but they've been
lax in informing their customers.

Why are you using email to do this instead of a network? You could run into
email size problems.

"SMT" is not a proper mail server name.
Who is your email service provider? Or to ask that question another way,
what is the part of your email address after the @ symbol?
Your mail provider will typically have a web page that shows how to
set up an email program. If you need more help, tell us the name of
your email service provider.

The host name, SMT, is not a valid host name. Please contact your email
provider to find out what if should be.
