Hi,
I have a SBS2003 running on my server and my desktop has
WIN XP Pro with Office 2003 running on it.

I have my customer contacts on my server in a contacts
folder in the public folders so all of us in the office
can access it.

I used to send emails to our customers between 4000 -
5000 customers by selecting the contact in the folder
then going to Actions and send New Message to Contacts.
This used to work fine when I was on SBS2000 but since
the upgrade to SBS2003 I keep getting an error message
saying "Opperation Failed"

Is there anything I can do to rectify this problem?
Need your Urgent response.

Regards,
Kunal

Your message size/recipient limits are probably preventing this (or, if you
are forwarding all Internet mail to your ISP's SMTP server as a smarthost,
it could be *their* limits) - that's an Exchange/server thing, not an
Outlook thing.

Regardless, that is a *huge* number of recipients for a single message. Do a
mail merge so one message is sent to each user individually. Even if you did
get your enormous message to go out, it would choke your server & Internet
connection, and a lot of antispam services/apps would look at the message &
block it.

Thanks for your response.
Do you know where in the server/exchange I can change the limit to send out
going mails?

You may need to change it in more than one place. Post in
microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs for help with Exchange issues. And heed
my advice about not trying to send a single message to 4000 recipients.
