Sending an e-mail by clicking on an address at the bottom of a job

After I finish filling out a job application to an oil company online, there
is an
e-mail address I am to click on on order to send my application. I have
windows
vista. When I attempt to send I get a message telling me that the address is
not
properly installed in my list of contacts.
I used to have windows 2000. With it I could just click on the address and
it would
send and enter this new address into my address book.
Somehow I feel that this can be fixed so I can send by just clicking on the
address.
Is this a problem with security settings??? Or what? Can anyone help?

If I were you, I would take it's word for it ........" the address is not
properly installed ....."
Why not open your Contact and see how that one was entered ?

Which email program do you normally use?
Have you set up a mail account in Windows Mail?

I am having the same problem when trying to apply for jobs. It says it sent
but the e-mail is still in my outbox and I get an error stating that the
"host"(from) does not exist. I have been doing everything the Help command
said to do and still they sit in my outbox. Also, it says I have new messages
but nothing is showing up in my "in box". I seem to have run out of options.
Yes, I have checked both the "to" address and "From", still nothing. Any
suggestions?

Try this fix:
Open the Default Programs applet, which you can access either from
the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click the first item:
"Set your default programs."
After a few seconds, a list of programs comes up. Click on "Windows
Mail". If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults"
then fix it by clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow.

It sounds like you have not set up a proper mail account in Windows Mail.
Who provides your email service? Or to ask that question another way,
what is the part of your email address after the @ symbol?
Your mail provider will typically have a web page that shows how to
set up an email program. If you need more help, tell us the name of
your email service provider.
