Send To Mail Recipient problem...

‘Morning all,
I'm having a slight difficulty with the “Right-Click-
Send-To-Mail-Recipient” feature of Windows XP Pro on a
workstation. Until recently, the user was able to right
click on any file (picture, document or what have you) and
the “Send To” menu came up with “Mail Recipient” as one
of the valid choices. When he clicked this, the file was
automatically sent to Outlook 2000 and he was able to
choose from among his many Contacts, and send the file off
accordingly.
About three weeks ago, however, he came to me
complaining that he was no longer able to choose a
recipient, for there was now nothing populating his
Contact list. I looked and sure enough, the problem
wasn’t with Outlook at all (all his Contacts are still
safely there), but with the fact that the SEND TO option
had NOW been associated with Outlook EXPRESS. Since we
don’t use that software at all here (though have to keep
it installed on the computers), you can see the
explanation for his "no available" contacts immediately.
Ok then, how do I re-associate this “Right-Click, Send
To, Mail Recipient” feature back to Outlook 2000 and not
Express? The Windows Help files didn’t really assist me
at all and I'm sure it’s some Option somewhere that I'm
missing, but I haven’t been able to find it.
His box hasn’t changed at all in the past several
months, except for the required Windows Updates that I
take, so I'm just wondering if one of these updates is
responsible for the switch.
The Network is a Win2K server and his box is an XP Pro
machine, if that helps. There are no other particular
networking issues that might account for this switch, and,
again, no new software has been added to either his box OR
the server for several months now. Virus protection and
Fire Walling are in place and showing “all green” across
the board, so I'm at a loss to explain why the switch
happened at all.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
~Art…

Have you checked that Outlook is set as the default in the appropriate boxes
in Control Panel | Internet Explorer | Programs tab?
