Send To Folder

S

Stan

Until yesterday, before I reformatted my hard drive, I could find the Send
To folder in the Explorer under
Documents & Settings > my name. Now I can't find it any where. I can add
folders to the Send To folder by using the Run command but that puts a
shortcut of the folder there (which is normal). However, I want to put a
"copy" of the Desktop (not a shortcut) in the Send To folder so I can send a
copy of an item to the Desktop. I could do this before I did a Reformat &
Restore but not now. Anyone have any ideas? TIA. Stan

Hi Stan,

Go to the Control Panel/Folder Options, and on the View tab, set the options
so you can see hidden and system files. Specifically:

Enable (check) "Display the contents of system folders"
Enable (check) "Show hidden files and folders"
Disable (uncheck): "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)"

I also recommend that you disable (uncheck) "hide extensions for known file
types".
