Is there a way to send text to the clipboard using a batch file?

I want to be able to send a string to the clipboard so it will be available
once the batch file is done running.

See for example winclip http://www.dmst.aueb.gr/dds/sw/outwit/
or similar clipboard.exe or use wsh script.

Possibly you could use clip.exe to copy to the clipboard.
