Send/recive

Varför får jag tillbaka alla mina mail som jag har tagit bort när jag trycker
på send/recive. Detta tar ju väldigft lång tid. Alla mailen blir på nytt
olästa. Det måste finnas någon inställning som jag har missat kan någon
hjälpa mig?

Hi Diane, this problem is for my neighbor
they have a desktop computer
they are using Outlook 2003 (11.5608.5606)
They are using the POP3 server
They have no antivirus software installed on their computer
I took off the mark to save the emails on the server, but it did not
How can I help my neighbor to solve this problem?
Do yuo need more information from me

Are you using POP3 or IMAP account? POP3
Are you scanning email with your antivirus? (If so, do not. Disable the email
Inclusion in your virus scanner.)
Using no antivirus software on their computer
I removed the checkmark in the box that stores the emails on the server but
this did not help the way I will continue to solve the problem with the
emails coming back as unread

How do I see if there is more than one account tied to my neighbor's mail?
If I delete all my emails (in Inbox), both new and old,
how do I remove them from the pst file, how do I do?
I have marked that I do not want to save some mail on the server.

This eliminates a problem with IMAP syncing.

They really should be using antivirus, just not the email scanning part.
There are several decent free AV scanners available, like AVG Free. During
installation choose the custom option and do not install email integration.

Do they have a web interface to read mail online? If so, log in and see if
the mailbox is empty. It should be. If not, delete all the old stuff and
try again. My guess is there is a corrupt message causing problems.
