We have a linux mail server is our network and I use Windows XP and Office
XP. I get cc copies in my mailbox of all incoming mails to our mail server,
sometimes per send receive session it can go upto 100 plus mails. Whenever
the mail volume is over 20 in general the outlook send receive is unable to
process the mails and hangs. We use POP3 for incoming and SMTP for outgoing
mails. Please advise remedy.

Check with your Linux Mail Server folks - this is a server problem that you
can check through them.

How often is outlook set to check for email? Make sure the time is high
enough to allow outlook to finish before initiating another check.
