Is there a way to send a picture "behind text" in EXCEL
the same way it is possible with WORD?

Thanks - Phil

Hi Phil

If you are talking about a water mark or backround pattern (that's how it's called in Excel) go to Format - Sheet - Backround and select in the picture you like

(Don't know when this was added as function in Excel, I have 2002

Hi!

I would use a text box with 'no fill' and 'no border line'.

If the text then goes behind the picture you can use the 'drawing
toolbar to 'send [picture] to back'.

Dan - I tried that, but could not get a picture inside the
text box (works fine with text in the text box). Am I
missing something?
