Hi,
I'm working on my company's intranet, and a request has been made to have a
button on each page that when pressed, would send the page via email.
Basically, what I need is a button that will act just like the 'send page as
email' option in Internet Explorer. Where the email program opens, and the
content of the page is inserted into the body of the email.

Is there any way to make a button, that when pressed initiates the 'send
page' feature of Explorer. Or any type of script that can be inserted that is
similar?

Hi, Chris:

Google for "send this page to a friend script" and you'll come up with many
possibilities.

I've already done this, but all the scripts I find just send a link to the
URL via email.

I want the content of the page to be inserted into the body of the email,
just like how it does when you select that option from the file menu.

Since our site is on an Intranet, if they need to share a document outside
the company for some reason, this method does not work.

Plus if a user finds an error in a document, if they could import the page
into an email. They could then just highlight the errors, or make changes
and then just send the document to the original author, who could then see
very easily what needs to be changed. It just makes things easier for
everyone involved.

Thanks
Chris.

Not possible without doing some type of server-side scripting, etc.
