Send File As Attachment

The option in MS Word 2002 to send a Word File as an attachment is not
available.
If I open Outlook Express I can attach and send a Word File but I cannot do
it from within Word? Any help here? Thx.
 
Do you have "Mail as attachment" checked on the General tab of Tools |
Options?
