send email with attach file

It's possible to send a complete email (To, CC, Subject,
Body) with docmd.sendobject.

But the attach file we can send is ONLY an Access object.

I would like to send (like the command above) an email,
but with a Word file attached.

Is there something new to make it possible?

Thanks. Regards.

Nothing built-in to Access. You need to use automation code to manipulate an Email
client. The link below has example of using Outlook/CDO.

Thanks for your advice. I have exactly the same question and glad someone
answered already. But I use Outlook Express 6 and can't find "Microsoft CDO
1.21 Library." Any suggestions?

That's a good article. Thanks. I do find cdonts.dll and cdosys.dll in my
reference. Do you know any example using either one?

Thanks for your help in advance.

I think it's rather difficult to automate with Outlook
Express. Eudora is a lot easier to use. But : the
attached file will have to be sent in a format recognised
by Access, e.g. rtf format, or, which is very nice,
Snapshotviewer format. But this supposes your addressee
has Snapshot viewer. This is a free Windows program.
You'll read references as to where to find it in this
newsgroup.
