send and recieve button

When i hit the send and recieve butoon i get themessage "You don't have
appropriate permission to perfrom this operation" how can that be fixed?

With no details, like Outlook version, account type, whether or not you
activated Outlook, and such, it's not likely someone will be able to help.
Pleae do not skimp when describing the symptoms. Has it ever worked? If so,
what did you change between then and now?

Yes it has worked before we are using office 2007 my computer was recently
changed over to vista

And who did that change? Shouldn't you be speaking to them instead of here?
as far as account type i would think it would be a business type of account

Whan asked "what account type", a correct answer will contain one of
"Exchange", "POP", "IMAP", or "Hotmail/MSN/Live".
and i would think it has been registered. i can reply to emails but if i use
the send and recieve button
i get that message.

Since this appears to be a problem with a work computer, the IT people where
you work are the appropriate ones to contact.

Ok you are correct i should, and have asked them. You are correct that it is
a exchange server account . Was just rying to get it fixed if it could be
because they might get around to it whenever. Sorry for being a newb.
