selection rectangle

When clicking "hotspots" (hyperlinked areas on image files) or links,
Internet Explorer may (or may not) display a selection rectangle (drawn in a
dotted line) to show the area covered by the hotspot, or to outline the
hyperlinked text.

How can I turn this option (selection rectangle shown or not shown) on/off?

Thanks,

Clem.

I assume you are using Windows XP? It really helps us to help you if you
provide a little more info when posting a question.

In Windows XP -
Right-click the desktop and select Properties. Click the 'Appearance'
tab
and click on 'Effects' button. UNCHECK 'Hide underlined letters for
navigation....' Obviously this will now show the underlined letter for
easy
keyboard navigation, but it should also get the dotted lines or border
back
when you click a link.
