Selecting Words

Hi,

I know this isn't in exactly the right group, but I couldn't find a more
general one unfortunately.

Anyway...

When I click and drag to select a word(s), how do I turn off the
eternally annoying 'feature' whereby Word thinks you are incapable of
using a mouse, and so selects extra characters for you?

Hope someone can help :)

In Tools > Options > General, uncheck "When selecting, automatically select
entire word".
