How can i select the first cell in the next row down after pressing enter or
tab?

With Tools>Options>Edit>Move after enter set to "down".

Start in A1, work your way across to J1 using the TAB key to leave each
cell after typing in your data.

Leave J1 by hitting the ENTER key to go to A2.

Another way.........

Unlock columns A through J and protect the worksheet.

TAB your way across to J1 then next TAB will take you to A2.
