Select domain users when sharing folders in a Win2003 Server

Dear Sirs,

I have two Win2003 Server Enterprise Edition in my
LAN, "server1" ands "server2". Server1 has Active
Directory set up and is the only domain controller.
Server2 is a member of the same domain and acts as a file
server. From server2 I allways log into the domain as the
domain admin, the administrator account.
Well, when I try to share a server2 folder with the domain
users and want to select users or groups, I only get the
list of local objects, but nothing from the domain becomes
visible. So, I can't share it.
Note: Despite of this, from server2 I am able to browse
the entire network and access the shares from other
computers of the domain.
Is there a policy feature in 2003 servers that restricts
this behaviour? What is the problem?
Can you help me with this?
Thank you in advance.

Make sure that you are not logged in locally by mistake!
Make sure that the bottom field is the Domain Name, not
the computer name.

Not all that familiar with 2003 Server yet so can not
speak to any "features" that it might have.

HTH,

Cary

Carlos,

I just wanted to make sure. I know that sometimes when I
am doing things quickly - or trying to do several things
at once - I might not pay exact attention and log on
locally ( Since this is not a Domain Controller )! I just
wanted to absolutely verify this.

I will have to play with this for a bit. It will be
later this afternoon, though. I am on the East Coast so
I am probaly two hours ahead of you ( if not three ).

Cary
