Select Cell A1

A

In some previous version of Excel pressing the HOME key would always select
and scroll to cell A1. In Excel 2007 pressing HOME seems to move to column A
but does not scroll up to the top. Is there a simple way to return to the top
left of the worksheet?

You can change the behavior of the home key by toggling a Lotus 123 setting.

In xl2003 menus:
tools|options|transition tab|Check Transition navigation keys

If that option is checked, then hitting Home will go to A1. If it's unchecked,
then Home will go to column A of the row with the activecell.

I'm not sure where (or if) that setting is in xl2007. But you could look for it
under the Office button|excel options button.

Ps.

I'd learn to hit the ctrl-home keystroke to get to A1. There are other things
that change if you have this setting toggled (and I find those irritating!).
