Segmented Email Files

I have a customer whose XP Home Edition Pentium II system
(running in a dual W2K/Novell 3.12[believe it or not]
Server environment does a really funky thing. In Outlook
Express 6.0 the system segments outgoing JPGs into as many
as 25 separate .DAT files. She indicated recipients
cannot "reconstitute" the files...but I did a trial email
to my own W98 system, and the file came in as a single
file, totally intact and viewable. Her system is also
sluggish. Other PCs in the network function properly.

My inclination is to think she has a lingering virus of
some sort, although I ran a sweep not long ago that did,
in fact, clean out some W32Klez infections.

I have XP Professional Ed. on order, and will likely strip
down the system at that time, anyway.

But I'm just curious if anyone has ever experienced this
type aberration?

Check the user's default mail account settings, advanced tab for a
checkbox limiting the size of files to send.

OE Tools>Accounts>Mail>[mail account(s)]>Properties>Advanced>Sending>Break
apart... (uncheck or set as desired).
