segmentation analysis program

Is there any statistical freeware that allows to do segmentation
analysis ? I found a number of trialware but nothing for free.

My best bet is R. Depending on your data and aims you'll need to write
your own analysis programs inside R. Or you may be able to adopt some
routines from existing projects.

You can have a look at a workpaper from Dolnièar and Leisch to get a
first impression:

The authors say they'd share R functions for their 'Bagged clustering'
approach in case somebody would need those. I don't know, whether this
offer still applies, though.

Thanks for this reminder. I looked into it but I see it will take real
time to have the program do what I want and not have me done what the
program wants me to do.
