Seeking details about Minolta Elite 5400 scanner

I DID read the manual thorougly :(
I should have said: I have experience with 16 bits/color only and that
outputs as TIFF only. Never used 8 bits up till now.

It can also output as PICT or BMP. However, I've always wanted TIFF so
I'm assuming it can't do that in 16-bit either (I haven't checked and
don't know the specs for those well enough (though I know there's a
4096 pixel width limit to the Minolta PICT).
