Why does Outlook (2000) put the adressee name in the blank for the email
address even though I change it back to the actual address? It happens for
some but not others. Is there a way to see the actual address in the contact
details? I realize I can to search for individual's names and see their
address in a list but that's not good enough for me.

thanks; Kozmo

You'd need to post a more accurate account of your version for anyone to
answer.
Are you using Internet Mail Only or Corp/Workgroup?
Exactly where did you want the email address displayed?

I'm using Outlook 2000, SP3, Internet Mail Only.

I want to see the email addresses in my address book. My address book is
"contacts" and I use a view that includes "email address". That email
address is the actual email address some times and the persons name at other
times. Some times I can right-click on the persons name shown in the email
address space, choose properties, and see the email address. Usually there
is no way that I can find within each contact detail to see the actual email
address if the name is shown.

thanks
Komo

Can't be done. You have a limited version of Outlook that does not provide
access to the Display Name field.
