I have tried to find a newsgroup for Xnews support but cannot so here I am
with my question. Is there something I can add to the Xnews ini file to make
the huge pictures smaller and therefore easier to see without the
inconvenience of scrolling this way and that, in the Xnews program?

news.software.readers with [Xnews] in the Subject works everytime.

Jpeg display in Xnews is just a kluge.
Suggest having the files displayed in a image viewer i.e. IrfanView.

Stop the display in Xnews with this setting in the Xnews.ini file:

[Display]
Jpeg=0

Launch the files in the image viewer:
[Misc]
LaunchTypes=.jpg|.jpeg

Or set via the GUI at:
Special | Setup Xnews > Files
Attachment handling

THANK YOU
Paul
