Can you expain this a little better. Where did you get the file (was it
from the internet downloaded via IE? What are you trying to open it from
Exporer?
If from the internet if could be the metadata that got slapped on the file
when downloaded and the easiest way to strip that stuff off is to copy it to
a FAT partition and then copy it back to your NTFS partition.
